Job Order Contracting or as commonly referred to as JOC is a non-traditional bid process developed and implemented by Owners that desired to save time and money when faced with renovation/repair and or fast track projects to be completed at an affordable, agreed to price by pre-qualified contractors.
The contractors are selected/pre-qualified based on a competitive bid process that includes variables such as pricing, ability to perform and experience. JOC contractors are then retained to a multi-year term at an itemized fixed price and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for approximately 275,000 construction related line items that can be collated to meet the scope of any project.
Taking part in Job Order Contracting allows Structures Construction to decrease project timelines concurrent with maintaining quality and decreasing overall cost which is one component of building owner-contractor collaborative long term relationships.
