The Richard J. Daley Chicago City College wanted to take advantage of a large sunny flat roof and also create a working classroom environment for its students. Structures helped finalize the design and partnered with a photo voltaic expert to install a brand new 100 KW solar panel system. The system consists of over 400 photo voltaic panels which generates more than 117,000 kWh offsetting nearly 200,000 pounds of CO2 per year. The system included cutting edge micro inverter technology which allows the City College students to see the individual performance of each panel and track the college's payback in real time.
