In collaboration with the Chicago Park District and Kuklinski + Rappe Architects, Structures Construction undertook a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation of the Revere Park Fieldhouse. This project aimed to revamp the facility, ensuring it meets contemporary standards and serves the community's evolving needs.
An important aspect of the project was improving accessibility. To achieve this, Structures Construction added a new section to the south side of the building, featuring an elevator. This addition ensures that the fieldhouse is fully accessible to individuals with mobility challenges, making it inclusive for all members of the community.
The exterior of the fieldhouse underwent extensive rejuvenation. Roofing, masonry, doors, and windows received much-needed repairs and upgrades to improve energy efficiency and preserve the building's appearance. The roofing system was also replaced for enhanced protection.
To bring the fieldhouse up to contemporary standards, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were upgraded. The HVAC system was modernized for improved comfort and energy efficiency, while electrical systems were enhanced for safety and performance. Plumbing systems were also upgraded to ensure efficient water distribution.
This revitalized space promises to continue serving as a hub for community activities, offering a place of gathering, learning, and recreation for generations to come.
